Crossbred Pony Gelding

This cute, lovely moving, sturdy built pony gelding is one of the ponies offered for sale by a local riding program that is downsizing for the winter. Their rural facility location. and lack of indoor arena, limits schooling and training opportunities for the upcoming winter months. 

 

 Reesey is quiet for a beginner w/t in a small arena and suitable for an advanced beginner walk, trot and crossrails in a larger arena.

 

He has a forward moving trot and will get quick (not run away) at the canter and over fences. Therefore he requires an intermediate rider to canter and school larger fences at this point in his training .He will not buck or run away, he simply gets forward and quick but has great breaks and responds well to half halts.

 

He has also picked up a habit of coming off the rail while teaching w/t kids this past Summer... a few nice schooling rides with a knowledgeable trainer should remedy this rather quickly.

 

Reesey is great on  trails  and is not spooky. He will make a lovely prospect for Eventing, Jumpers, Cross County or Pony Club with consistent riding.

He has been shown over fences in the past, although not by his current owner .

 

This pony has excellent feet, ground manners are great. Super easy keeper UTD of coggins and Vaccines.

 

Due to the need for continued schooling and his owners desire to find a suitable training home before winter that will allow this pony to excel to his potential, owner has priced him at $2500 with offers considered.
